i have a laptop (really really old) and i am messing around with it. got it for free and dont really care about it. but i was wondering if there were any operating systems (such as dos or sumtin...possibly even a 32bit gui os) that i can run from floppy. seeing as since the bios is so old that it doesnt support boot from cd...or maybe someone can link me to a bios update...its a sager 8600 series (np8620 to be exact)...are there any floppy img downloads that maybe have an autorun file that will

Hey all, I am about to reformat my drive on my Toshiba laptop (with the system restore disc it came with) and was wondering about how to partition it so I could run a distro of Linux and XP on it. What do people think of this idea?Making an Operating System that is based off of Linux that has a GUI (Graphical User Interface like Windows), can support any hardware, any software, has the best parts of all the operating systems (windows' ease of use and UNIX or whatever's power). I'm interested in loading Linux (ubuntu), XP, Vista and Tiger on my computer. I know each of the systems work. but how do i install them all so that i can easily choose which OS to boot to when starting the computer. I've heard of grub bootloader, but frankly, i find the linux terminal and code out of my range. is there also a sequence i should follow for installation order?
